Mykola Tomenko: We will stop liquidation of the National Natural Park "Synevyr"
Today the situation concerning the National Natural Park "Synevyr" was discussed at the sitting of the Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster at the initiative of Vice-Chairman Mykola Tomenko.
The People´s Deputies of Ukraine and representatives of State profile bodies unanimously emphasized inadmissibility of alienation of land of the national natural park with a national status, into the municipal ownership.
The Committee members decided to bring forward a Draft Resolution that stresses illegality of decisions of Zakarpattia regional council concerning alienation of the Museum of Wood and Float at the territory of the National Natural Park "Synevyr" into the municipal ownership; address the General Prosecution with a request to make a protest against the resolution of Zakarpattia regional council. The People´s Deputies believe that relevant public authority bodies should issue governmental acts concerning permanent use of land and provide their registration as soon as possible. The Resolution also suggests that the Ministry in charge of Environmental Protection of Ukraine jointly with the managers of the National Natural Park "Synevyr" elaborate a draft of the reconstruction of the Museum of Wood and Float on the river Chorna.
